Connected DER Program
Dan Power is a senior research analyst with Guidehouse Insights leading the Connected DER service. His research and consulting experience covers connected DER applications including virtual power plants, microgrids, demand response, load flexibility, and non-wires alternatives along with enabling software platforms, emerging DER business models, and changing energy market structures. Prior to Guidehouse, he worked as a mechanical engineer at Northop Grumman designing and evaluating the reliability of microelectronic packages used in airborne and ground-based military radar systems. Dan holds MS and BS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. His graduate studies focused on microelectronics packaging, reliability, and thermal management of power electronics used in harsh environments.
