These are based on Guidehouse Insights’ global grid infrastructure and DER databases. For grid technologies, this includes data on meters, smart meters, networked and non-networked substations, and feeder line miles at the regional-, country-, and utility-level. For grid-edge technologies, forecasts were developed by combining ground-up data on adoption for base year assumptions with known plans for upcoming adoption and patterns in DER adoption forecasts informing future growth assumptions
