Maria Chavez

Research Analyst

Maria Chavez is a research analyst contributing to Guidehouse Insights’ Energy Storage service. She focuses on battery storage for electric vehicles and is interested in the intersection of energy markets, technology, and policy.

Prior to joining Guidehouse Insights, Chavez studied energy efficiency programs in New York and researched land restoration as part of her graduate capstone for the World Resources Institute. She has also worked for small conservation non-profits conducting field research in places such as the Peruvian Amazon and the Point Reyes National Seashore in California. Chavez holds a BS in natural sciences from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and an MPA in environmental science and policy from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.
