Lighting Forecast Database

The Lighting Forecast Database’s purpose is to provide lighting vendors with insight into market opportunities across a range of architectural lighting segments by providing up-to-date forecasts of global lighting revenue and shipments and highlighting key dynamics across regional markets by building/area, product, and construction types. The Database characterizes four end-use market segments and five lighting technologies across five principal geographies. It reports revenue and shipment forecasts of lamps and luminaires by technology, building/area type, construction type, and year, constituting the most comprehensive overview of the lighting market that Guidehouse Insights has published to date. The Database is updated frequently and published twice yearly.

This second edition of the Guidehouse Insights Lighting Forecast Database covers the ten-year period from 2023 to 2032. Several updates were made to the forecasts of this edition. Updated data was integrated into estimates of the illuminated area of industrial buildings, city parks and public areas, parking garages, parking lots, and roads across all global regions, affecting forecasts of both shipments and revenue. Estimates of average selling prices of lamps and luminaires in certain global regions were updated, which influenced revenue projections.
